If you have an idea and it involves novel techniques or unique materials, TheGrainStudio is our hands-on collaborative space where we can experiment, prototype, iterate and refine your concept, blending proven modern, traditional, and innovative techniques from around the world, making the “Art of Possible” happen. Think Yakisugi/Shou Sugi Ban (charred cedar-style finishes), Kumiko lattice details, sculpted live edges, wabi-sabi textures that celebrate age patina, and modern techniques using CNC or laser.

We pair these with thoughtfully chosen accents - reclaimed hardwoods, smoked or clear epoxy for inlays and “waterfall” effects, micro-cement, steel or brass details, glass, and subtle LED lighting - bringing your idea to life.
